Who is our target audience for Rust? Graydon has said it is
"frustrated C++ developers", but how sophisticated and how "brave"
are we thinking they will be?
Most important part of my answer:
"Is my answer worth enough for you to learn/understand enough French to
understand it? Probably not ;-) Each team must weight whether it's worth
it for them."
Your point about a subset is interesting and relates to how we learn
natural languages. You dont need to learn every French word and
expression to read most texts. Just learn the heart of the language and
grow your knowledge while you work on projects, read new code, etc.
But it requires a lot work to determine what's a useful heart of the
language and expose that in a friendly manner, so many it's too early to
do that for Rust.
