Hmmm. That's really strange. Does that mean that you were unable to reproduce the issue as I described? >> P.S.: Have a look at http://bugs.gentoo.org/188269 - an urxvt bug? > > no, its gentoo, and therefore a gentoo bug. gentoo is not supported by any > version of urxvt and reports about bugs in it will be ignored. Gentoo builds urxvt from source. In my case it runs this command: CFLAGS="-march=prescott -O2" CXXFLAGS="-march=prescott -O2" ./configure --prefix=/usr --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var/lib --enable-everything --enable-xft --enable-perl --disable-text-blink --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu After that it's only "make" and "make install DESTDIR=..." So I'd think that Gentoo should be supported if you support your own source distribution. However, as you can see in the comments for the bug report, even other people have problems reproducing that bug. And if you say that you can't reproduce that reset problem either with which I started this thread, then I begin to suspect that there must be something strange indeed about my setup, that causes it to behave than every other installation. It's not the -march, and none of the other settings look really exotic to me. I'll try a manual build from source some time next week, see if that behaves the same way. Greetings, Martin von Gagern
