I can reproduce this problem with all shells I've tried so far: ksh, zsh and bash. However, it only happens most of the time, i.e. not always. The log you requested is [1]available (I was using ksh while tracing; corresponding trace logs for [2]zsh and [3]bash are also available, but they seem to contain the same sequence of events AFAICT).
