yes, thats because urxvt always uses the current dir, which is "/" for
the daemon, unless started via urxvtc (which tells the daemon the current
dir).
the workaround is to ste the diretcory you want in your .shrc (.profile
etc.)

yes, but he uses urxvtd/urxvtc, not urxvt.
