This is by design - this keeps most cell coordinates as-is mostly, as
applications expect, which reduces flicker (and also garbage in the
scrollback).
When the "important" line is lost for you, gthis is mostly a problem of
the application not doing redraw (typically both readline-style interfaces
and fullscreen apps react properly to resizes).
