9.16 +vanilla : ok
9.17 +vanilla : error

9.16 +flags :   ok      (including +wcwidth)
9.17 +flags :   error   (same as above, including +wcwidth)


The diff between the two ebuilds being null, I think the regression
happened in the 9.16 to 9.17 interval.
