When urxvtc returns, the window has been created, and a map request has
been sent and startup notifications have been processed, so it seems all
you need to do is wait for the urxvtc to return.

I can't see how PIDs would be of any help, as the window manager doesn't
have to any processes, so can't track them. urxvt supports startup
notifications though, which may be of some use.
