I sincerely felt bad for unnecesarily wasting someone's time. I didn't fabricate a bogus bug report because I was bored and it seemed like fun; I made an honest mistake in thinking that a bug in drawing to a terminal was caused by something handled improperly in the terminal itself. If #rxvt-unicode on freenode, the irc channel listed here (http://software.schmorp.de/pkg/rxvt-unicode.html), isn't the one you're in 'every waking hour', then you should update that page. If it is, then I was in there from 7 A.M. on Wednesday May 22nd to 1 A.M. on May 23rd (so not over a day in the most literal sense of the word, sorry for another honest mistake), and the only message sent in that entire time was from me, asking about mailing list subscriptions and a bug tracker. In my opinion that qualifies the channel as a ghost town. If you apologized for delays (an apology I wasn't asking for or expecting), then it was after I left the channel, though I'm on the network 24/7. Either way, the comments you refer to as 'stupid' seem more like things you just don't enjoy hearing. I have to say I was initially taken aback by the way you handled something as small and inconsequential as this, but after receiving your first message I did a quick search and found out that I probably should have expected it. I don't think any reasonable person who read the issue thread on github that I originally linked would come to the conclusion that I 'just made it up', or assume that for some unfathomable reason I wasn't being honest about wanting a productive discussion. I don't understand why you feel the need to personally attack anyone who submits a bug report (even if they're mistaken) for your software when they're just trying to help you improve it. I can't imagine what happened to make you assume everyone is lying to you and out to get you, but I don't think lashing out at strangers is the answer. _______________________________________________ rxvt-unicode mailing list [email protected] http://lists.schmorp.de/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rxvt-unicode
