This is darn weird.
OK, so I just had my system upgraded from Solaris 2.5.1 to Solaris 7.
Most of the programs that I use (compiled for Solaris 2.5.1) are working
OK. Unfortunately, the version of rxvt I was using accidentally got
blown away during the install. All I have is an old rxvt 2.4.11
version.
So, I wanted to rebuild and re-install a newer version. I tried 2.6.3,
2.7.3, and the latest CVS version as of this morning. In none of those
versions will my META key work anymore. (META is the diamond key next
to the space on my keyboard). It works in Emacs, and in the old rxvt,
and in other applications, but not in the newly built rxvt.
I've even tried re-building them on 2.5.1 and running the binary on
Solaris 7, but no go.
Rxvt just passes the value through without the meta; so for example in
rxvt I run bash and use M-f or M-b to jump words, and I just get an "f"
or a "b" printed to the screen (no beeps or odd characters either).
Whassup?!?!?!
