RXVT 2.7.5
- ----------
Development version rxvt 2.7.5 is now available. The development
series 2.7.x contains new code which has not undergone testing on
as many platforms as the more stable 2.6.x series. You may or may
not have problems running or even compiling it. However all feedback
on both issues is gratefully received. Please send reports to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] . General questions may be addressed to the
normal mailing list (see the web page <URL:http://www.rxvt.org/> for
details).

Please note that the last beta release was 2.7.3 and that 2.7.4 was
not released (the numbering was mainly used for internal purposes).
In the latest fashion whereby all people releasing software must
do so the day before their holidays, please also note that I will
be in Sydney until next week and will not be able to address any
issues people may have until then.

You can pick it up in the normal fashion:
FTP: ftp.rxvt.org /pub/rxvt/ <URL:ftp://ftp.rxvt.org/pub/rxvt/>

You need one of the following:
/----------md5 checksum-----------size----------filename---------
dd9d2b6c3887c674f484c480d4419a19 339394 rxvt-2.7.5.tar.bz2
25c0ab58467a2c824e6c29318257b976 427702 rxvt-2.7.5.tar.gz

or from anonymous CVS, see <URL:http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=221>
for details. You need the GNU autoconf package and the yodl package to
make a full build. You also need to run ./.prebuild first time through.

No diff file has been made available - it's about 200k gzip'd.

Important notes:
* there is no default compiled scrollbar: you must choose via ./configure
which scrollbar/s you wish to compile in. If you compile in more than
one scrollbar, the choice of scrollbar type is via resource ''scrollstyle''
  (or long option ''--scrollstyle'').
* the --enable-everything is _order dependent_. If you use it, use it
first, then you can disable something it enables if desired.
* src/feature.h SCROLL_ON_UPDOWN_KEYS has been commented out to be compatible
  with older rxvt versions.
* the build process supports shared libraries. This is for future use and I
suggest that people (especially package builders) do _not_ use it.
* slower link support added via XCopyArea() is not active if you use a
pixmap or set transparency (support for those may still be compiled in)
* the TODO list has grown and I'll get onto it when I get back

Enjoy.
