I'm uncertain from the question what you want to happen.
The way that rxvt is designed is to run a command and, when that command
finishes, to go away.
Are you wanting to use rxvt to display the contents of a file only?
Or are you wanting to get an rxvt shell open for use, but to execute a
particular command before providng the user a shell prompt?
Or something else?
