Thanks your great support. The Rygel is working fine on our platform now.
For the password protection requirement.
If we just need to implement a simple way to request user to enter the password 
when access our renderer device.

Do you have any suggestion ?
We probably need to hook somewhere in the UPnP callbacks and trigger the entry 
for the user.
I am not familiar with the UPnP protocol, could you give me some advice where I 
could start up ?

There were a lot of discovery-related and DLNA-conformity fixes included in 
later versions. Can you check if the problem persists in the latest releases 
(in some VM perhaps)?

Which dependency hinders you from updating? Also, judging from these versions, 
your rygel might be quite old then?

socket_source_cb in gssdp-client.c is responsible for receiving the incoming 
multi- or unicast packets;

gssdp-resource-group.c, message_received_cb is responsible for "being 
discoverable".
