When nova live-migration is performed, a port that has the same MAC address exists in two hosts during live-migration processing. > (2) If vm2 want to send packets to external network, I think will be > external IP in the packet header. But,how about dst mac? Is it > fa:16:3e:f6:65:0b? Because there are rules in table 1,2 about dst mac,it has > to be fa:16:3e:f6:65:0b , so that the packet can be sent to port 2. How > does vm3 know the dst mac? When vm sends a packet to external network, the packet is sent to gateway in L2. MAC address of the gateway is obtained by ARP. In previous case, default gateway is qr-a6339ea8-4d and the MAC address is fa:16:3e:f6:65:0b as you said. Because br-int on HOST1 and HOST2 is one switch logically, it is the same in the case of vm3. A packet that is sent from vm3 will be forwarded to qr-a6339ea8-4d via gre tunnel. The packet that arrived in qr-a6339ea8-4d is transmitted to external network through IP routing and SNAT.
