I am confused with the working of Ryu controller with OVS and
physical switches in OpenStack environment.
To my understanding, OVS plugin is subset of Ryu plugin. For
instance, Neutron server creates ports on ovs and informs the same to Ryu
controller, Ryu controller gets more information about the port from ovsdb
from the hypervisor and since it has the database of port mapping, it can
create flow tables for each hypervisor when requested by OVS on compute
node. What about physical switch connectivity, How Ryu take into
consideration.
