Hi,

I'm trying to implement some inband mechanisms and for that I need to
keep some information about the states of the nodes. Since nothing can
be stored in the nodes I need to save it in the packet header.

Basically I just wanna be able to remember which was the last outport
used by any switch. And then match on this parameter to decide which
outport should be used then.

I was thinking about using the vlan tag to do that but since I'm using
the curl syntax and it's not possible to match on vlan with masks yet
it's not the best option. (I need the mask to match on the particular
bits that are important for the state of the current switch).

What do you think? How would you do it?

Thanks!

Best,
Clément
