You mean rest_firewall.py?
rest_firewall.py is just an sample application for Ryu-Book, I guess it does
not supposed to be
measured about its performance and also such purpose.

So if you want to generate the large number of rules for rest_firewall.py, you
need to call the REST
APIs many time...
