Does Ryu work with python 3.x or compatible with python 3.x? Yes. It is. Ryu is started 6-7 years back ,I guess that time python 3 is not matured. 2.7 was best fit. When python 3 evolves, Ryu team made Ryu project compatible to work with python 3 using adapter (six) As you stated, Ryu is not developed with python 3. Rewrite in python 3 is huge effort. If you want to rewrite it, please fork and do it, as its open source. As long as it's achieving the purpose, it's good to use. Whether it's using async or eventlet doesn't matter. Do you know about openstack project, it's developed by 2.7. and compatible with 3.
