Dear, My Name is Hikmat Aldelou and Im a PhD student in Brunel university, My research is on how to improve Service discovery in IoT by implementing SDN cotroller.
Im using Riverbed (OPNET) to build my network for simulation and results, but Riverbed doesn't provide a model for SDN controller(provided Open flow switches though). The advised to use external SDN controller and after a research I was advised to use Ryu for that purpose. I've built a Ryu on Linux device which different from the PC where the network(Switches ad Wireless nodes" are build, and according to Riverbed the platform connected to the external SDN controller through a Gateway which I did. My Enquiry if that is feasible ? as the documents you've provided were talking on VM (open flow toturial) rather, and wither there is a different configuration? I look forward to hear from you.
