Hello all, I'm @anarkiwi on github, and one of your Ryu maintainers. Like all of you I have personally benefited a lot from the many, many contributions our community has made over the years, and I'd like to try and give back as much as I can, in the form of development time to support and maintain Ryu for others.
Firstly I apologize that I haven't done enough over the last few months. I'm working with my fellow maintainers to get us in a place to do a new Ryu release (particularly to enable Ryu to stay current with Python). For those of you who have submitted Ryu PRs (thank you!), and have PRs outstanding. Would you please take a look at your PRs, and either update them (if you would still like them considered) or close them (if you don't)? This would help us a lot in prioritizing the work we need to do to get Ryu back into shape. I also make one other request - as https://github.com/faucetsdn/ryu/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.rst, unit tests are requested. Please do - tests not only help you find bugs in your own code earlier, but they help protect our community (and of course they help us as maintainers, support higher quality releases by finding those bugs before releases go out).
