On the other hand: on the development branch the entire thing has been changed, and more is in the overfull pipeline, so i'm not really going and dig into this again: for v14.8.8 i've spent a lot of time in that valgrind thing and hammered the input side of the old NCL. Not good enough. Shit! But that old rotten NCL thing is vanished and gone, i keep on looking forward for v14.9 and the new MLE editor. So for interactive usage of the old NCL-based codebase i would recommend that you set *editalong* and directly spawn the $EDITOR of your choice! That setting is much smoother than at first, you won't see any redundant output fly by before it comes up, for example. It'll be even better with (Be more friendly when composing mails (Martin Neitzel)..) from [next], however. Well. Sorry so far!
