Hello all.

A somewhat strange year comes to an end, and i found it
astonishing that it seems to have been less creative and
progressing as i thought it could be.

For this little MUA that means that i will not be able to finish
v14.10, but need at least one month more, maybe even two.
Therefore i decided to release yet another bugfix update, which
will show up as v14.9.20 by the end of next week at latest.

With it fixes to enable TLS over *socks-proxy* and EXTERNAL auth
for IMAP and POP3 come in, .. and some little things.
Nothing new at all. This is all up to v14.10, which will be the
very last series before the v15 rewrite, and either we come back
the way i want, or v14.10.* will see "endless" fixes.
But i am really eager to get there, still, and more than ever.

What else. Since a few months the idea of replacing the mailman
driven mailing-lists with a simple awk or so script that is driven
as a postfix alias repeatedly crosses my mind.
This would be less convenient for subscribers (holiday suspension
etc), but if noone would object then i think i will do it,
removing python / mailman (the old no longer developed version it
is) and haveged (mailman / python require loads of random bits,
even if they do nothing, actually) from the server.
Archives, searching etc. i would re-deliver subsequently by
scripting this little MUA, Gunner Ritter's IMAP-search should do
it nicely.

Ciao from Germany,

--steffen
