Those interested in other publications might want to check out the PRRHTS on-line magazine "The Keystone Modeler". Most issues have some mention of S scale - the latest issue notes Trainstuff LLC's receipt of the Charles Saundersfield award and Earl Tuson's note on availablity of CDS and Greg Comar mettering in S and other scales. The magazine is available in HTML or PDF format and is FREE. Not only that, I think it is a better publication in quality of articles and editing and layout than about half the print publications we pay for. You don't need to be a Pennsy fan to learn from this publication.
http://www.prrths.com/Keystone Modeler/Keystone_Modeler.htm Another less directly interesting on-line publication is O Scale Trains magazine. They have made eariler issues available for free on their web site, and again it is a quality publication effort. Of particular interest to S scalers is Gene Diemling's article in issue No. 3 on building a C of G door-and-a-half boxcar from an Intermountain kit - the same kit offered in S by PRS, so the article should be directly usable by us to add a unique car to our rosters. http://www.oscalemag.com/ go to the "free downloads" section.
