Yes, I have. Here's how:

Assemble the Kadee 802 or 808 couplers and glue the boxes shut. (Or use the assembled
SHS Kadee clones.) Now turn the car upside
down and use a hand-held #60 drill bit to drill the plastic pilot hole down to the
steel plate that's sandwiched between the plastic
underframe and the wood floor. Then, using the shorter screws included in the Kadee
envelope, screw the coupler box in place. Use
firm pressure and do not over-tighten or you will strip the screw hole. If the
coupler box is still loose, thats OK.

Now, using the end of a piece of wire as an applicator, apply a drop of ACC (super
glue) to the juncture of the coupler-box lid and
the cars underfloor. Do this on both sides of the coupler box. Set the car aside
for about 15 minutes to give the ACC time to set
up. You will not want to rely on the screw alone to hold the box in place if you
do, the box will pull off the car. Note:
Solvent-type cements will not adhere to the painted car bottom inless you scrape and
sand or file away the paint. If you're up for
that, then solvent is the way to go.
