hi all yeah know one thing u cant do with the American Flyer is
take them with yeh to whereveer.especially the rest room. but yeah
know ---we all spend much dream time on the subject in our bones---
our trains! I find the most enjoyable -realxing feelings are from
reading the train catalogues :the mags, the e-mails, the Books. DONT
YOU Enjoy such from this great pastime? The catroons, the
advertisements the"prices" and more the pictures and so on. I love to
read the olde ones . back in the 1950's or back before then and
also the BIG ONE --I dunno know WHY? it is ! but then I think was
much "much!" better than today.I couldnt wait for the new season of
AC GILBERTS -- American Flyer CAtalogs to show up!!!Why iah to have
one !no three ANd then another one the next time i went back to the
store. I was drawn by magic to the colorful excitement in the
catalog. Today thats still running in me. Why !yesterday i took to
read thru again!!! ![4th time}the famous train magazine MODEL TRAINS
issue SPRING 1959they dont make them like they use too! this copy is
still in fine great condition. and one of my favorite because oin
there's a full page "KMT" advertisement showing freghts and desel
engine and respective prices-to each. those were the days of the USA
being filled with all sizes in trains. today we collect those
memories and preserve somethings in us by doing it. Well as long as
my ticker keeps ticking I am keeping my pleasure of having the blasts
from the past with me always even when I leave the OLD FOGGIES HOME
by the rear door. MY American Flyer cataloigs are going with me-- why
Idont have any idea to how long i'll be waing to get on the Best seat
in the HOUSE. THe moral of the essay is "ALWAYS PACK A TRAINBOOK/MAG!
or even better A AMERICAN FLYER catalog with u wherever u GO!! J"--
