Ya want da truth? I thought it was an older car that would fit the
1948-1958 era. Now that I have become educated and realize it is too
new for my layout, I would still buy a couple and then resell them
later. I have found that placing a large order directly with the
manufacturer encourages the item to be made which it otherwise might not
be. Selling things off later is not really all that hard and the end
result is more things for S. Many folks like to see what they are
buying and are unwilling to front the money for an unseen product to be
delivered nearly a year later. I sort of look at it as simply helping
those guys see what they are about to buy. So I order a few extras on
their behalf. I'll still take a couple. Altho', I'd prefer an older
coil car to be sure. Maybe both eras can be covered with a single coil
car of some type? Maybe Bill can do a coil car with a couple of
variations such as 'early style' and 'later style' which would make more
folks happier overall -- especially us transition era types (of which
there are many, I might add).

Cheers...Ed L.
