Last week I posted an inquiry about the Southern Pacific passenger train that was running at the 1989 convention. I just pulled my Dispatch and the Dick Karnes article from the August 89 issue, and it looks like the name of the owner of that train is John Darling, who also owned the UP 8444 and train that is shown in the Bob Werre color photo in that issue. The shot shows the engine and first 3 of the 10 or so cars on the train, so that is all that can be discerned.
The obvious question now narrows to "Where are they now?"
