CAUTION: At times when using search engines I have found our group archives referenced; the search engines can see what is in the archives. Therefore, so can spammers and other members of the public. This is a benefit to us; people who are not members of the list can see the archives to see what the group is about and help decide whether they are interested in joining. This also has its obvious downsides. Therefore, I suggest that you refrain from putting personal information into group postings. OTOH, I found out that we can change the settings so that archives are NOT readable by the public. Feel free to send comments on this topic to the group moderators (owners).
