The NASG group was formed because I was zealously answering any criticism of the BOT on this group and it did at times interfere with the concept of the group. Over the last 3 years, I have developed a much thicker skin and things have settled down since then.
The NASG group has not really done what it was intended to do in that only 79 members have joined it and I only counted 12 posts since August that were not made by BOT folks or the moderator. Since Thorin made his post to this group, I decided to answer it here because I wanted the people on this group to read my reply. I didn't take his post in a negative way and only wanted to clear the air. However, are we really saying that the NASG is irrelevant to S as one post indicated? Removing all mention of the NASG from this group would include: 1- Any announcements from the NASG promotional committee. 2- Announcements about NASG projects like the Pullman cars, etc. 3- Any discussion or reports about any of the NASG conventions. 4- Upcoming events that the NASG will attend and/or support. 5- Answers to legitimate concerns like Thorin's. If that is the wish of the majority on this group, so be it. I'll comply and keep NASG completely off of this list. But to say that we're irrelevant is getting under my skin, thick as it has become.
