As I already mentioned to you, it is missing the stripe along the 
boiler above the footplate.  But I think this was an error in the way 
it was painted, not a distinguishing feature 
between "northbound/soundbound" paint schemes - if such paint schemes 
even existed.

Knowing your sense of humor, I am wondering if you are setting us SP 
fans up for a good laugh.  As Lee Johnson noted, on the Espee trains 
were either WESTBOUND or EASTBOUND. So I am skeptical.  <VBG>  
However, for a NYC guy, you know a lot about the SP so I am going to 
have to hit the books (Specifically Robert Church's excellent book on 
these beautiful locomotives).

I will go to my library after the Holiday Bowl tonight (you all are 
watching, right <VBG>).
