I think Jim Kindraka wrote a pretty good memo. I cannot disagree with a
thing.
I am at the other end of the spectrum in terms of participation. I usually
cannot attend the NASG conventions and sometimes do not renew my dues in years
when I know I cannot attend. But I am grateful that there is an NASG and
always enjoy the conventions when I am able to attend. And I am always anxious
to
read about them. And I appreciate all the volunteers, like Jim and many
others, whose work makes it possible for NASG to exist and grow, and to grow
the
gauge. If there was not an NASG, I do not think we would have S-Helper
Service, American Models, or more than about 10% of the S related product that
we
enjoy today. We fuss with each other about scale vs. hi-rail and related
issues
but NASG has served all of us extremely well.
Just my opinion, but I really do not understand why we have had this lengthy
discussion over something so basic to our interests.
