Blair,
Welcome to the group!
You will find this group is quite general about all things S. That
said, you will find that there are generally two varieties of S
modelers: those that model "tinplate" as in American Flyer, and those
that model "scale" according to one or another of the popular track
standards. These include NMRA, NASG, and Proto-64, which last group
is the most persnickety at modeling prototype wheel and rail
dimensions in 1/64 scale.
While I am sure that some of the Flyer bunch are members of this
group, as I know that they like to keep abreast of the latest
releases and developments too, there is a Yahoo group just for them,
the S-Trains group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Trains/
I also know that many of the narrow gauge modelers belong to this
group too, as I am one of them. That said, though, you will be more
likely to find discussion of things narrow gauge on one of the slim-
rail groups. Try the Sn3 group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sn3/
There are other groups along these lines. Take a look in the Yahoo
index and see what interests you. Some are scale specific, some are
gauge specific, some are era specific, and others are prototype
specific. I'm sure there is an EBT group. I know there is an ORW
group, as I'm in it.... D&RGW is all over the map. In Yahoo that
is. I know it's in Colorado.....
Just don't forget to make some acquaintances along the way, and you
will likely find some true friends. There are great guys in all the
model railroad groups if you spend enough time to find them.

The poll results are in....... To REPLY to the list, use REPLY ALL, to reply

but it works on some of the most common ones.
