and he notes - What's that old quote: "The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated!"? The last time I saw Dick was at his home in Hudson, Florida, (30 or so miles above St. Petersburg). That was back in the 80s but on a hunch I looked him up on an internet telephone directory and found a listing. It was his daughter-in-law's and she gave me his number.
I talked to Dick is very much alive and well, (though he is legally blind), and operates Lionel because he can see it better. He is retired but keeps his finger in on eBay under the name "chochogy" It was supposed to be "Choochooguy" but that name was taken so he came up with the one he uses. The "Dover & Atlantic" car sold on eBay was not his, (so he says) but probably someone he knew who used the name. So for now he's not among the list of passengers on the "Little Train Into The Sunset". I have his address, email & phone # for anyone who contacts me off list.
