Hi John, Find a photo of a real GP9 and try to find some
reference points on the shell to use for your layout. Once you know
where you want them there's a few ways to mark them out, I just use a
straight edge and scribe tiny scratches on the paint then melt the
grab irons in by heating them with a soldering iron, you can make a
template and drill thru it and glue them in, you can also apply some
masking tape and do the layout on it then drill thru then remove the
tape and glue in the irons. No matter what method you use they will
come out a little off square, so the last step is the most
important... take a pair of pliers and tweak them all level and into
alignment.(forgot to mention that in many cases it looks better to
drill a second hole and add a tiny bolt casting just above the grab
iron to simulate the mounting rivet-check a prototype photo when
possible)....dave

but it works on some of the most common ones.
