I used the old Northeastern drop grabs and they fit both holes. There is a
current company that makes S scale both straight and drop grabs of brass.
Caboose Hobbies Denver stocks them. AG

I too use the cast dimples as locators. I use Huff N Puff grabs, and
they have different spacing than the cast on dimples. I use the
outside dimple to drill the first hole for each grab, then use the
second end of the grab to mark the location of the second hole.

Mike Sulzbach

John - I did that years ago to my pair of Black Widows. Seems to me there were
dimples cast on the body that I used for starters for my drill. AG

As you may recall from a prior message, detailing my AM GP9s is one
of my current modeling projects.

I want to mount BTS grab irons as a ladder on the units. Any
suggestions for mounting the irons in a straight line and evenly
spaced on the shell?
