Guys, All the talk about the UP's wanting royalties for using their logo has sort of died down. Here's something new and interesting. A local Houston TV station (NBC) did a story last night regarding the UP's parking trains at intersections thus blocking the route children use to get to school. The news segment showed older students helping younger students over the couplers and up and down the ladders. Another lifted his bike over the coupler to get across. When the reporters contacted the UP, a local vice president said 'no comment'. The local PR guy said simply that the students were trespassing! The new mayor said he would like to fine the RR buy impounding the train and selling it off if they continue to violate the 5 minute law. They timed the crossing blockage at 20 minutes in some cases.
