"S"tick with us a bit longer, Don. Various misunderstandings and/or
differences of opinion do happen from time to time and folks sometimes
get carried away. Apologies were made and the issue will fade away
gradually after everyone else puts in their 2 cents worth. But your
basic reason for being here is still valid: "to glean information". You
are able to get more S scale questions answered with faster and better
responses from this list than from any other single source. Throw out a
question or two and see what happens.

Want a high-nose road switcher? Overland Models made a small number
brass of Southern Rwy-type road switchers several years ago. I have
forgotten the details, but high-nose units were made (in small
quantities like about 20 or 25) and you might actually be able to locate
some used units via this list. Or else you might want to try the NASG
Convention in Altoona, PA this summer. Lots of used equipment comes out
of the closets for sale at the big convention. Personally, I am not
aware of any plastic high-nose units, but I could be wrong. If so,
someone out there will be sure to correct me. Happens every time. As
we've seen

I suppose you know Kelvin White who lives in Oxford. He models various
things and has a great interest in S scale and is a friendly guy. And
then there is Andy May, the leader of England's S Scale Society (forgive
me if the Society's name is not quite right, going from a weak memory
here).

Anyway, please don't judge the list too harshly based on one week's
worth of messages on one topic. There have been worse before and it
does happen from time to time. Those who make their living from model
railroading tend, in my opinion, to be more sensitive than others
regarding statements about their products. Only natural, I suppose,
considering all the time and effort and money put into making things for
a really small specialized market like S scale.

Cheers...Ed L.

but it works on some of the most common ones. For those of you on DIGEST mode,
all REPLY messages go to the list.
