Two minor corrections to the data below:
1. The grey cars were also used heavily in Pullman pool service
("General Service") on nearly all US railroads that offered sleeper
service. (Major exceptions -- UP and SP, which used a different color
scheme.)
2. I have it on good authority (Roger Nulton, Monon expert) that the
Monon had no grey cars. Monon used a few Pullman Green cars and one car
specially painted grey and red.
