We sold them for $129.00, factory painted black. My OMI records show they all came that way and the ones I have salted away are all factory painted... Sorry about yours Ed... A previous post asked about the price of the G&W 19000 series NYC brass caboose. I don't remember the year they were produced, late 80's I'm guessing. I paid $97.00 for each of mine.
