And in addition, I just stumbled across a postcard (Audio-Visual Designs, #RP970) showing a neat view of the Budd observation car with the following caption: "Amtrak's eastbound train from Chicago departs the Hudson, N.Y. station for New York City. Today, June 5, 1988, former New York Central observation car Bonnie Brook was added to the train at Albany-Rensselaer for a charter excursion. Bonnie Brook sports the tail sign of the train that was it's normal assignment, New England States, during its Central days." Thus, someone modeling the late '40s all way to the late '80s could plausibly use this car conveniently being produced by Kaslo Shops. Just tack it on the back of whatever other passenger train you are running and call it a charter excursion. I think I'll go buy another observation car now that I know that. Neato! Cheers...Ed L.
