Larry, a very informative and thorough response - most helpful. I'd be interested in more information re the legs. About the hills & dales, I think that with layers of pink foam insulation and the scenery system that uses foam risers, etc., that should be a piece of cake. I'm only worried about having sturdy legs, that can be adjusted a bit for level. Paul
