Greetings;
Also keep in mind that some railroads converted their diners to work work train
service to feed crews, and some became "pie cars" in cirrcus trains.

"S"ince folks are looking for new things to do, here is an idea: Why
not ask NASG to initiate a project (with Kaslo?) for a genuine
heavyweight diner? "S"omething that really looks like a diner complete
with small kitchen windows, side door, multiplicity of roof vents, no
vestibule, etc., etc. A unique model to match the other heavyweight
cars we already have. Don't know about yours, but my RR crews are
starving and crying out for some food. Any volunteers for this one?
