TC, I have some photos that I got got from Loyd Kaiser (hope I'm
getting his name right) of the branch line combine. Loyd, is an author
of several books on the MILW and CNW. It was in the later years of life
and MofW service but is mostly there. A RR museum in Minneapolis/ St.
Paul has one (at least it was there during our convention a few years
ago). Photos are available from the Milwaukee Public Library if needed.
The branchline combine, because it was homemade, came in several
variations, but I would be happy to own any of the versions.
As Thorin said, the caboose (the Milwaukee made version, not the
International Car version) is well documented in plans and photos. I
have a few, again in later years. Additionally, it was done rather
well by Overland in brass several years ago. I'm not sure if it was
made in O (which would be better to take measurements from) but I'm
certain orginal plans were used to make the models. I personally would
prefer the brass version, but certainly enjoy the building opportunities
of a good resin kit, assuming the metal details are made correctly.
I would volunteer to help in any way I can, assuming Kelvin decides
to take the lead.
