I don't know about easy, but I built a Bx9 boxcar that has three
riveted straps on the outside. I followed a fantastic series of
articles by Bob Hundman in Mainline Modeler, June - August 1999. The
rivet strips are described in July. On my model, I embossed the
rivets in a strip of .010 styrene, about an inch wide. Then I filled
the backs of the rivets with putty. Then I cut the strips. Score and
snap didn't work, as I couldn't do it without introducing bends into
the strip. That is why you can see a little raised lip on the strap.
I cemented them to the car sides with Tenax-7R applied with a sewing
needle, like you would with ACC. This was to prevent the solvent
from melting the rivets.

I put a picture called "Bx9 Rivet strips" in the Photos section on
the list photo page http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Scale/lst

The poll results are in....... To REPLY to the list, use REPLY ALL, to reply
to the sender, use REPLY. I do NOT know if this works on all e-mail software,
but it works on some of the most common ones. For those of you on DIGEST mode,
all REPLY messages go to the list.
