Gentlemen, I believe all the plastic painted UP cabooses have no basis for the prototype. UP cabooses in brass were made by Overland with their CA5 & 6 models. Later on Gold Coast models made two versions of the CA-1, again in brass. I have seen both models fairly regularly on Ebay auctions. The Overland version was the most common caboose during the 50's thru the 70's. The CA-1 was mostly used during the steam and early diesel era's. Both models are very nice and accurate models. However, the Overland caboose's trucks could be better. Bob Werre
