Hi, Well, it looks like I started it, other's hopped on the band wagon, and we now have a "Yahoo S-scale Member List" meeting in Altoona on Thursday, July 29th, at 10:00 PM, following Ed Loizeaux's, 8:30 PM, "Building a Layout"clinic.
Preliminary plans are to have pins or badges or stick on tags, so that we may identify ourselves. It was suggested that we leave plenty of room on the name tag to write our names real BIG. I'm told that many of our group are having difficulty in the sight department. (Hard to believe that in a model railroading group, I guess that's why we're in S scale.) Once we introduce ourselves and have a *general chatting session, we will have a head table where I'll find some volunteers to talk about what is going on in our S scale and also to give every one a chance for input into the session. *As we introduce ourselves, each individual may make a short speech in regards to himself, his likes on model railroading. What I need to know is an general estimate of how many will attend this meeting. As you know I'm from Hershey, Pa. and I do plan to have a "Keepsake" surprise for each attendee. All constructive comments/ suggestions may be placed on the list, or sent to me personally. As this situation has come on me quickly, I'm working on the meeting agenda and want to keep it very simple.
