I'm hoping eventually to build a few old time steamers (1885 vintage), and was wondering if anyone in this group has ever powered such an engine with a tender drive. I am thinking of using a re-gauged HO diesel F unit or such, of course with the correctly altered sideframes. If anyone has thoughts on this please contact me off group.
