Alex: The three screws that come with the S-Helper Kadee style coupler are machine screw threads and will fit certain S-Helper cars such as the ore cars. No problems so far keeping the coupler on the S-helper cars. However, I use a different screw for other manufacturer's cars. Since there are no self-tapping screws this small [hey Don, can you put this on the list of projects to do after the Connie comes out :- )], I drill and tap threads for 3/8" long 0080 screws (I think that is the size, I have to look to be sure). I have used these couplers on 50+ PRS/Gold Coast Cars with no problem, and plan on doing my remaining 70+ cars the same way.
