Kadees on 80' cars will work fine. I have used them on 80' cars on
staging-track curves as tight as 33" radius.

I use the following spacing for double track:

Mainline straight track: 2-7/16" (13 feet)
Yard tracks: 3" (so I can get my fingers in between adjacent cars)
54" curves (and larger): 3"
45"-54": 3-1/4"
38"-45": 3-1/2"
33"-38": 3-3/4"
Less than 33": I don't construct any this tight.

I have never had any trouble using these figures.
