Barry, et al, An On30 friend of mine has used the stuff. It is excellent, according to him. Expensive, though. So what he did was go to a local rubber supply house (there really is such a place), poked around in their samples until he found a thickness similar to the Vinylbed, and bought about 10 times as much as the VB for the same price. He also uses the lightweight vinyl ballast (don't know who makes it) and matte medium. Very quiet and very authentic-looking roadbed. I plan to us a similar approach on my new layout. I never have liked cork and homosote. Roy Inman
