I must say I have been very pleased with Homobed after sawing my own for 
many years. If you decide to saw your own it is not a big job-just don't try 
to do it indoors.

On the other hand, I made up a small homosote sawing jig to use inside to 
saw slots in the straight sections so they would curve. Simply cut a slot in 
a piece of plywood for the saber saw, attach a pan below (I used an aluminum 
turkey roaster pan) and grind the sabersaw blade so you can insert in the 
saw backwards. Works great and no mess.
